Winter Internships at Goodman Theatre

Goodman's Internship Program offers a rich and challenging experience for qualified college students and recent graduates who are actively pursuing careers in professional theater. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Goodman interns have the opportunity to refine their practical and critical thinking skills through close interaction with Goodman staff and artists in Chicago's large and diverse theater community. The level of responsibility entrusted to Goodman interns requires that, besides demonstrating competence in their specific area of interest, they be mature, self-reliant, articulate and able to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment. For most internships, a basic knowledge of computers and word processing is also essential.
Modest stipends are available for all internships. Stage management interns are also eligible to receive Equity membership points. Academic credit is awarded at the discretion of the intern's college or university. Interns also receive complimentary tickets to all Goodman productions.
Applicants are currently being sought for the Winter/Spring term of the 06/07 season in the following areas:
  • Artistic
  • Casting
  • Development
  • Dramaturgy
  • Education & Community Programs
  • Literary Management
  • Marketing/PR/Press
  • Production Management
  • Stage Management
