Sketchfest Deadline in 3 Weeks

The Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival is the largest sketch comedy festival in the nation. The upcoming Chicago SketchFest celebrates their 7th year anniversary. Scheduled for January 3rd - 13th, 2008, the event plans to showcase 100 sketch comedy groups from around the world, performing 125 shows in 8 days. In addition to performances, the event will feature workshops, networking opportunities and other special events.
Details and the application are available on the festival website. Applications will be accepted from August 15th through October 15th, 2007; participants will be selected by an adjudicating panel of industry experts
(from Chicago Sketchfest).

CTA Fare Increase Delayed

It looks like the CTA's proposed fare hike won't happen tomorrow, and it could be two months or more before it does. Getting to rehearsals/shows/auditions will stay a few cents cheaper, for now.
