League Loses CEO and Ends Chicagoplays

The 195-member League of Chicago Theatres has lost a leader and disposed of a loss leader. In early June, president and CEO Deanna Shoss announced her resignation as of June 30, after only 11 months on the job. At the same time, the organization revealed it would cease publication of its four-year-old monthly program book, Chicagoplays, with the July issue. League officials said the timing of the two events was coincidental
