Community Arts Assistance Program Applications Due Dec. 1

Individual artists and small nonprofit arts organizations in all disciplines can apply for grants of up to $1,000 for professional, artistic, and organizational development projects through the Community Arts Assistance Program (CAAP) for the year 2006.
Individual applicants must be residents of the city of Chicago for at least 6 months prior to the application deadline and not enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or other degree granting program.
Organizations must be incorporated, located in and serving the city of Chicago, have a valid Federal Employer Identification Number, and have acquired, or be in the process of applying for, or seeking funds to apply for 501(c)(3) status.
Applications are distributed by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington Street, 4th floor, and 35 other cultural sites throughout the city.
Deadline is December 1st
