Reading of 'Process: An Improviser's Journey'
Second City Training Center Faculty member and Main Stage Alumni Michael Gellman and Training Center Faculty member Mary Scruggs will read excerpts from their newly released book, Process: An Improviser's Journey(from The Second Citizens Newsletter).on Wednesday, January 30th, 2008 at 6:00pm at The Second City e.t.c. Theatre (1608 North Wells Street in Piper's Alley. [google map]) Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing by the authors before the reading starting at 5:30pm and after the reading until 7:30pm. The event, including the reading, is free

Wicked Sets Box Office Record
The Chicago production of "Wicked" has announced that it broke its own box office record, grossing $1,418,363.24 for the week ending Dec. 30, filling the Oriental Theatre to capacity. That's the top earnings for a single week in Chicago theater history, according to Broadway in Chicago(from Chicago Tribune).
