Nederlander to Own Broadway in Chicago
On Nov. 6, the entertainment company Live Nation reported as part of its statement of third-quarter financial results that it was selling its 50 percent share of Broadway in Chicago - which it owned in conjunction with the Nederlander Organization - to entities controlled by James L. Nederlander for $60 million.In other words, Broadway in Chicago (which presents the Chicago productions of such Broadway shows as "Wicked" and "Jersey Boys") will now be owned by a partnership consisting of the Nederlander Organization and James L.
